Sterling knows asphalt! The McDiarmid family has been in grading and paving operations since 1960. Sterling took over his father?s paving company straight out of college in 1986, utilizing a few men and a few pieces of handed down machinery. He was able to grow the business and eventually purchased an asphalt plant of his own, employing over 125 North Carolinians. His company has held Corps of Engineer contracts, multiple municipal contracts, and graded and paved Wal-Mart distribution centers and like jobs. He sold his business in 2003 and moved to the Boone area and now concentrates on smaller work such as commercial parking lots, golf cart paths, and residential streets and driveways. We serve Boone, Blowing Rock, Banner Elk, and surrounding areas of the High Country. With decades of personal experience, we make sure there is a smile on your face after the work is complete!
