The Marlboro Chamber of Commerce is hosting a lunch and learn for the small business community. The event will feature guest speakers John Mahon and Mike Bell, with the South Carolina Small Business Development Center. They will be discussing programs offered by the SBDC and resources available to the small business community.
The event will be held on Wednesday, April 12 at noon in the Kinney Room of the Marian Wright Edelman Public Library. There will be a $5 charge to attendees. Businesses who are not members of the chamber are encouraged to attend. To purchase tickets or to register, visit www.marlborochamber.org or call the chamber at (843) 535-8184. Seating is limited, so registration prior to the event is necessary.
The Small Business Development Center (SBDC) is a program partially funded by the Small Business Administration (SBA) and the state of South Carolina. The SBDC offers private, confidential, one-on-one consultations to assist current business owners as they grow. The SBDC also works with aspiring entrepreneurs to develop business plans, prepare to apply for business loans, and get ready to open businesses.
